  • Progress meterA quiet meter shows how far you have got, for example "3 of 6 checks done". You can take the checks in any order and stop at any point.
  • Milestone badgesEach finished check adds a plain badge, such as "Nose check done". They mark progress; they do not grade you.
  • Saved resultsSigned in to Apnealytics, your results are saved to your account so you can compare with last time. Without an account, every tool still works, but nothing is kept after you close the page.
  • Retake remindersSome checks are worth repeating, for example sleepiness after a month on CPAP. If you opt in, we remind you when a retake is due, and the result shows how your score has moved.

FAQ

FAQ

Are these sleep tools really free?

Yes. Every tool on this page is free and works without an account. Signing in to Apnealytics, on the free plan or Pro, adds saved results, retake reminders and the option to fill answers from your own therapy data. Nothing on this page requires payment.

Can a quiz tell me if I have sleep apnea?

No. Screeners like NoSAS, STOP-Bang and Berlin estimate how likely sleep apnea is, based on published research. Only a sleep study and a licensed clinician can diagnose it. A higher-risk result is a good reason to talk to your doctor; a lower-risk result does not rule it out if you have symptoms.

Which check should I take first?

If you have not been diagnosed, start with NoSAS; it takes about two minutes and needs no score from anyone else. If you are already on CPAP, the Epworth and an insomnia check are useful for tracking how you feel over time. The NOSE scale is worth doing before choosing a mask.

What happens to my answers?

If you are not signed in, answers stay in your browser and are not stored. If you are signed in, completed results are saved to your Apnealytics account so you can compare them later. You can delete them at any time, along with the rest of your data.

Why do some tools ask me to enter a score instead of answering questions?

The Epworth Sleepiness Scale, STOP-Bang and Insomnia Severity Index are copyrighted questionnaires. Rather than reproduce them without permission, we ask for the total from the copy your clinician gave you and explain what it means. Where we have the right to show the questions, we do.

Already on CPAP? See what your machine records.

Apnealytics reads your SD card and shows AHI, leak, usage and pressure every night. Your first 30 nights are free.

Apnealytics dashboard on a desk

Screening tools, not a diagnosis. A result here cannot tell you whether you have sleep apnea, insomnia or any other condition — only a licensed clinician can diagnose. If you are very sleepy during the day or have dozed while driving, see a doctor promptly.
