CPAP machine compatibility by brand

Three brands are fully supported today (ResMed, Philips DreamStation 1 and 2, Fisher & Paykel SleepStyle), one is partly supported (Löwenstein), two are on the waitlist (React Health Luna G3, Transcend), and one popular model cannot be read by anyone (ResMed AirMini). This page lists every brand and its status so you can check CPAP machine compatibility before you sign up.

Three real machine cut-outs (AirCurve 11, React Health G3 X, Transcend) on a teal blob beside four count tiles: 1 brand supported, 2 in development, 3 on the waitlist, 1 cannot be read, each with its badge

How to read the badges

  • Supported — import your SD card today and see every night, every chart.

  • Partial — part of what the machine records is read today. Create a free account, add the machine to your gear, and we will email you as coverage grows.

  • Waitlist — no parser yet. Join the waitlist on the model page; demand sets our order.

  • Cannot be read — the machine stores no data a third party can access. We will not pretend otherwise.

Four cards: Supported, In development, Waitlist, Cannot be read, each with its one-line meaning and the brands it applies to
02

ResMed — Supported

ResMed machines write a standard set of EDF files to the SD card: an STR.edf summary and a DATALOG folder of per-night files. Apnealytics reads all of them.

Visit the ResMed hub for card locations and model notes.

Philips Respironics — Supported

Philips machines store data in a proprietary binary format rather than EDF. Apnealytics reads it.

Löwenstein's prisma line is common across Europe. The format is proprietary and Apnealytics reads part of it today.

How this compares with other tools

For context, and only on facts we have checked: OSCAR, the free desktop program, reads ResMed, Philips, Fisher & Paykel, Löwenstein and others, but runs only on Windows, Mac or Linux with no phone app, no cloud and no sharing. SleepHQ lists 57 models across five brands including Philips, Löwenstein, F&P and BMC. myAir reads ResMed only; DreamMapper reads Philips only. Apnealytics reads ResMed, Philips DreamStation 1 and 2 and Fisher & Paykel SleepStyle today, Löwenstein in part, and is expanding in the order above.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Which CPAP brands does Apnealytics support?

ResMed is fully supported today: AirSense 10 and 11, AirCurve 10 and 11, S9 and Lumis. Philips DreamStation 1 and 2 and Fisher & Paykel SleepStyle are fully supported too. Löwenstein prisma is partly supported. BMC / React Health Luna G3 and Transcend machines are on the waitlist. The ResMed AirMini cannot be read by any tool.

Why is ResMed supported first?

ResMed writes its card in EDF, an open file format, so the data is well understood and reliable to parse. ResMed is also the most common brand among people who asked for Apnealytics. Philips and Löwenstein use proprietary formats that take longer to decode and test safely.

When will Philips DreamStation be supported?

We do not publish dates for machines on the waitlist, because a parser is only promised once it has been tested against real cards. DreamStation 1 and 2 are supported today: upload the SD card and your nights appear.

What does "waitlist" actually mean?

It means no engineer is working on that machine yet. Each model page has a one-field form. We count sign-ups per model and build in that order, so joining does affect the roadmap. You will get two emails: when work starts, and when it ships.

Can I use Apnealytics with two different brands?

Yes. The Pro plan supports multiple machines with full gear history, so if you move from a Philips to a ResMed, or travel with a second machine, both can live on one account. Each machine is read by its own parser, so every supported brand parses on the same account.
