The CPAP compliance report that finds its own qualifying window

Insurers and clinics usually want proof of at least four hours of use on 70 percent of nights across 30 consecutive days. Apnealytics' compliance autopilot searches your history for a window that qualifies, drafts the letter, and builds a doctor-ready PDF that also carries your clinical summary.

What it is

The compliance report is a two-part PDF. The first part is the compliance section: the qualifying 30-day window, nights used, hours per night and the percentage that met the threshold, laid out the way a durable medical equipment supplier or insurer expects. The second part is the clinical summary: AHI and band, event composition, leak P95, pressure P95 against the set range, EPR, and oximetry if you have it. One document for two audiences.

Flat two-page PDF spread: page one with the letter and the 30-night qualifying window table and usage strip; page two with AHI 2.8, leak P95 11, pressure P95 12.4, event composition donut, usage distribution, oximetry and settings changes

How it works

Five-step diagram: upload card, autopilot scans every 30-night window, draft letter, include toggles, PDF or share link
  1. Upload your card

Your usage history comes from your normal SD card import. The more history you have, the more windows the autopilot can test.

  2. Run compliance autopilot

Apnealytics scans every 30-day window in your history and finds the ones that meet the four-hour, 70 percent rule, or tells you how close you are and which nights would get you there.

  3. Review the draft letter

A short cover letter is drafted with your window, your figures and your machine, ready to edit.

  4. Choose what to include

Keep the clinical section, add oximetry, pick the date range for the trend charts.

  5. Download or share

Save the PDF, print it, or send a read-only share link to your clinic.

What you'll see

  • The qualifying window

The 30 consecutive nights that qualify, with the start and end dates, nights with four or more hours, the percentage, and average hours per night. If more than one window qualifies, you can pick the most recent or the strongest.

  • Nearly there

If no window qualifies yet, the report shows your best window, how many more qualifying nights you need and by when. The dashboard's goals and streaks tie into the same target so you can see progress each morning.

  • The clinical summary

AHI for the period with the band and the 30-night trend. · Event composition: obstructive, central, hypopnea, unclassified. · Leak P95 and pressure P95 against your set range, with EPR. · Usage distribution by night.

    More detail
    • Oximetry summary with ODI₃, ODI₄, T90 and nightly lows, if you have a Pro oximeter import.
    • Settings changes in the period from What changed?.
  • The letter

Plain, factual, addressed to whomever you choose, with your machine model and the window figures. Edit anything before you export.

  • Health identifiers

Name and date of birth appear on the PDF only if you add them. Share links exclude health identifiers by default.

Free vs Pro

Usage tracking, goals and streaks are free, and so is data export. The compliance autopilot, the drafted letter and the doctor-ready PDF are Pro features, at $8.99 a month or $99.99 a year. Many people subscribe for the month of their compliance review and keep Pro for the full history; either is fine, and you can cancel anytime.

FAQ

Questions people ask

What is the 4-hour / 70% CPAP compliance rule?

A widely used standard, including by Medicare in the United States, that asks for at least four hours of CPAP use on at least 70 percent of nights in a consecutive 30-day period, typically within the first 90 days of therapy. Your insurer or clinic may apply its own version. Our explainer on the 4-hour / 70% rule has the details, and the autopilot does the arithmetic.

Will my insurer accept an Apnealytics compliance report?

Many suppliers and insurers accept a usage summary derived from the machine's own data, which is exactly what Apnealytics reads from your SD card. Acceptance is up to each payer, and some require the report to come from the manufacturer's cloud or from your supplier. Ask your supplier what they need, then bring both if in doubt.

How is this different from ResMed myAir or AirView?

myAir is ResMed's free consumer app and shows a single nightly score with limited detail. AirView is ResMed's clinician system, which your supplier may use. Apnealytics works from your own card, is under your control, includes the clinical summary and oximetry alongside compliance, and lets you share a read-only link rather than relying on a third party's portal.

Can I generate a report for any date range?

Yes. The compliance section always uses a 30-day window because that is what the rule requires, but the clinical summary and trend charts can cover any range you like, from a month to your entire history on Pro.

Does the PDF include my name and personal details?

Only if you add them. The report can be fully anonymous, or carry the name and details your clinic needs. Share links strip health identifiers by default regardless, and nothing in the report is ever indexed by search engines.
