Year in Sleep: your CPAP year in review

Therapy happens one night at a time, which makes it hard to notice how far you have come. Year in Sleep is a CPAP year in review that gathers twelve months of nights into a single recap: hours on therapy, how your AHI moved, your longest streak, what changed and when. It is yours to keep or to share.

What it is

Year in Sleep is an annual summary generated from your Apnealytics history. It is part celebration and part record: the celebration is the milestones and streaks; the record is the clear, dated story of your therapy over a year, which is often exactly what a clinician wants at an annual review.

How it works

Five-step diagram: keep uploading, pick the year, cards assembled from nights, hours, AHI, events, leak, pressure, gear, settings and streaks, read on the phone, share with identifiers off
  1. Keep uploading

Year in Sleep draws on the nights already in your account from SD card imports. Nothing extra to set up.

  2. Pick the year

A calendar year, or the twelve months since you started therapy.

  3. Apnealytics assembles the story

Nights, hours, AHI trend, event mix, leak and pressure trends, gear changes, settings changes, best streak and milestones are collected into a scrollable recap.

  4. Read it

Each card explains itself in plain words, with the chart behind it one tap away in Trends.

  5. Share or save

Export the recap, or send it as a share link with health identifiers excluded by default.

What you'll see

  • The headline numbers

Nights on therapy, total hours, average hours per night and the share of nights that met the four-hour threshold.

  • How your AHI moved

Your AHI at the start and end of the year, the full-year trend, and the months that stood out, with the change-points that explain them.

  • Event composition over the year

How the mix of obstructive, central, hypopnea and unclassified events shifted, which is often more telling than the AHI alone.

  • Leak and pressure

Leak P95 and pressure P95 by month against your set range, with mask and cushion changes marked, so you can see whether that new mask in March really did settle the leak.

  • Streaks and milestones

Your longest run of qualifying nights, your 100th and 200th night, and the first month you hit your usage goal every night.

  • Gear and settings timeline

Every mask, cushion and machine change and every settings change on one line, dated.

  • Vitals, if you sync them

Resting heart rate, HRV and sleep hours from Apple Health or Health Connect across the year, placed beside the therapy figures.

Free vs Pro

Year in Sleep needs a year of history, and Free keeps 30 nights. The recap is available on Pro, which stores your full history, at $8.99 a month or $99.99 a year. If you have been uploading on Free, your older nights are already in your account; upgrading unlocks them and the recap together.

FAQ

Questions people ask

When is Year in Sleep available?

Whenever you have enough history in your account. You can generate a recap for any completed calendar year, or for the twelve months since your first night on therapy, at any time on Pro. It is not limited to a December release.

Can I share my Year in Sleep?

Yes. Export it as a file or create a read-only share link. Health identifiers are excluded from share links by default, so the recap can be shared as a milestone without revealing your name or details, and you can revoke the link whenever you like.

Is this just a marketing gimmick?

It is designed to be useful first. The same cards that celebrate a 100-night streak also show your clinician how your AHI, leak and pressure moved over the year and when settings or gear changed. Many annual reviews boil down to exactly those questions.

What if I changed machines during the year?

On Pro, Apnealytics keeps multiple machines and full gear history, so the recap spans both and marks the switch on the timeline. The compliance and AHI figures carry across because they come from your nights, not from a single device.

Does Year in Sleep include my oximeter data?

If you have imported oximeter nights on Pro, the recap includes a summary of ODI₃, ODI₄ and T90 for the year alongside your therapy figures. Watch-based SpO₂ averages from Apple Health or Health Connect appear in the vitals section.
