AirSense 10 AutoSet data in Apnealytics

Yes — full support. The AirSense 10 AutoSet is the most common CPAP machine among Apnealytics users, and every variant of it is supported: AutoSet, AutoSet for Her, Elite, CPAP and the modem-free Card-to-Cloud version. Pull the SD card, import it on the web portal, and your AirSense 10 AutoSet data becomes a nightly dashboard, trends and, on Pro, waveforms.

AirSense 10 AutoSet at a glance

The AirSense 10 has been in production for over a decade, so there are several hardware revisions in circulation. They all write the same card format.

Where the SD card is

Look at the side of the machine for a small hinged plastic door. Behind it is the SD slot. Push the card in to release it. Before removing it, turn the machine off and wait for the SD icon on the screen to stop flashing; the machine writes the night's summary when the session ends.

  1. Turn the AirSense 10 off and open the card door.

  2. Press the card to eject it and put it in a reader on your computer

    Card import is web-only today.

  3. Sign in at my.apnealytics.com and open Import.

  4. Drag the whole card folder onto the drop zone

Files travel from your browser straight to private storage on Cloudflare R2, resumable if your connection drops.

  5. When the night count stops climbing, return the card to the machine

Future imports add only new nights.

What you'll see

  • 30-night rolling AHI trend

Because so many AirSense 10 owners have years of cards, the trend view matters. Apnealytics plots the 30-night rolling AHI and marks change-points under "What changed?", so a pressure adjustment or a new mask shows up as a step rather than noise.

  • Event composition

Obstructive, central, hypopnea and unclassified events are shown separately for every night. The AirSense 10 distinguishes central from obstructive apneas using its forced-oscillation technique, and that distinction carries through to your dashboard.

  • Pressure P95, set range and EPR

For AutoSet mode, the 95th-percentile pressure is plotted against the minimum and maximum your clinician set. EPR level and respiratory rate sit beside it. On Pro, open any night in the waveform viewer to see airflow, pressure and leak breath by breath.

Known quirks

  • Card door sensor. If the door is open or the card is not fully seated, the machine shows an SD warning and will not write detailed data. Nights without a card are not recoverable.

  • Modem vs card. The modem sends a summary to myAir and AirView. It does not send the detailed DATALOG files, and no third party can access it. The card is the only complete copy.

  • Card-to-Cloud units. These have no modem and no myAir. They write the card identically, so Apnealytics is often the first place their owners see their data at all.

  • Older firmware and leak. Early AirSense 10 firmware reports leak slightly differently from later versions. Comparisons within one machine are reliable; comparing across a firmware change can show a small step.

  • Detailed-data retention. DATALOG data is kept for a limited window, roughly 30 days by default. Import monthly to keep waveforms for every night. STR.edf summary data persists far longer.

  • Humidifier and tube settings. These are recorded in the settings block and surface in "What changed?", which is useful when a dry mouth complaint lines up with a humidity change.

Compatible masks

The AirSense 10 uses a standard 22 mm connection and works with any ResMed mask and most third-party masks:

  • Nasal

    AirFit N20, AirFit N30i

  • Full face

    AirFit F20, AirFit F30i

  • Nasal pillows

    AirFit P10, AirFit P30i

Three cards with real mask cut-outs on teal blobs: Nasal (AirFit N20 · AirFit N30i), shown AirFit N30i; Full face (AirFit F20 · AirFit F30i), shown AirFit F30i; Nasal pillows (AirFit P10 · AirFit P30i), shown AirFit P30i; footer: 22 mm tube, Mask Analytics per mask, replacement reminders

Set the mask type on the machine (Pillows, Nasal, Full Face) to match what you wear; it changes how leak is reported.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Is the AirSense 10 AutoSet compatible with Apnealytics?

Yes, and so are the AutoSet for Her, Elite, CPAP and Card-to-Cloud variants. All write STR.edf and a DATALOG folder to the SD card. Import on the web portal and you get nightly AHI and event mix, usage, leak P95, pressure P95, EPR, trends and, on Pro, per-night waveforms.

Does Apnealytics replace myAir for the AirSense 10?

It shows far more. myAir gives a single 0–100 score with usage, seal, events per hour and mask on/off. Apnealytics reads the full card: event types, pressure and leak percentiles, EPR, respiratory rate, change-point detection and multi-year history. Card-to-Cloud owners have no myAir at all, so Apnealytics fills that gap.

My AirSense 10 is from 2015. Will old cards still import?

Yes. The file format has not changed across the AirSense 10's production run. If you kept old cards, import each one; dedup makes sure overlapping nights are counted once. Free accounts show the last 30 nights; Pro shows your full history back to the first card.

Why does my AirSense 10 show fewer waveform nights than summary nights?

The machine keeps summary data for a long time but detailed DATALOG data for a shorter window, so an older card has summaries without waveforms. Nights with summaries still get an AHI, usage, leak and pressure; only the Pro waveform view is unavailable for those nights.

Can Apnealytics read the AirSense 10 through the modem or myAir?

No. ResMed's modem is a closed channel to its own servers and myAir has no export. Every third-party tool, including OSCAR and SleepHQ, reads the SD card. Apnealytics does the same, with a direct-to-storage upload that handles multi-gigabyte cards and resumes if interrupted.
