AirSense 11 AutoSet data in Apnealytics

The ResMed AirSense 11 AutoSet writes a standard summary and a data folder to its SD card, and Apnealytics reads both. Import the card on the web portal and you get every night's AHI, usage, leak and pressure, 30-night trends, and on Pro the breath-by-breath waveforms.

AT A GLANCE

The spec sheet, and what it means for your data.

The AirSense 11 replaced the AirSense 10's dial with a touchscreen and added Bluetooth, but the card format did not change. That is why it was supported from day one.

WHAT YOU'LL SEE

Every chart in Apnealytics works with this machine.

  • Night viewNightly AHI with band and event mixEach night gets a machine-estimated AHI and a band. Underneath, obstructive, central, hypopnea and unclassified events are shown separately.
  • Explore viewPressure P95 against your set rangeAutoSet moves pressure between the minimum and maximum your clinician set. See whether the machine spends its nights pinned at the ceiling. EPR is shown beside it.
  • Mask AnalyticsLeak P95 and Mask AnalyticsHow much air escaped on a bad stretch of the night, and seal, AHI and usage compared across each mask you have used.
KNOWN QUIRKS

Things worth knowing before you import.

  • Firmware updates and the card. After an over-the-air update the first night may show a settings change in What changed?. That is expected.

  • Time zone. Nights are stamped in local time as set on the device. Travel without changing the clock and start times will look shifted.

  • Card formatting. Replacement cards should be FAT32. Cards over 32 GB that ship as exFAT will not be written by the machine.

  • High-resolution retention. Detailed data is kept for a limited window, so import at least monthly if you want waveforms for every night. Summary data is kept much longer.

  • AutoSet for Her. On the AirSense 11 this is a mode, not a separate machine.

Compatible masks

The AirSense 11 uses a standard 22 mm tube connection and works with any ResMed mask, as well as most third-party masks. Set the mask type on the machine to match the mask you actually wear; it affects how leak is reported.

FAQ

FAQ

Is the AirSense 11 AutoSet supported by Apnealytics?

Yes, fully. It writes the same STR.edf and DATALOG files as the AirSense 10, so every chart in Apnealytics works: nightly AHI and event mix, usage, leak P95, pressure P95 against your range, EPR, respiratory rate, trends and, on Pro, per-night waveforms. Import is from the SD card on the web portal.

Can Apnealytics get AirSense 11 data over Bluetooth?

No. The AirSense 11's Bluetooth pairs only with ResMed's myAir app, and the cellular modem talks only to AirView. Neither is open to other apps. The SD card holds the complete record, which is why Apnealytics, OSCAR and SleepHQ all import from the card.

How is Apnealytics different from myAir on the AirSense 11?

myAir shows one 0–100 score plus usage, mask seal, events per hour and mask on/off counts. Apnealytics reads the same card and shows the event types, pressure and leak percentiles, EPR, respiratory rate, a 30-night rolling trend, change-point detection and multi-year history. Many people run both.

How often should I import my AirSense 11 card?

Monthly is a good rhythm. Summary data lasts a long time on the card, but the detailed waveform files are kept for a shorter window. Import is incremental, so there is no harm in importing weekly; only new nights are added and duplicates are skipped.

Does it matter if my AirSense 11 is the Card-to-Cloud or Elite version?

No. AirSense 11 Elite and CPAP models write the same files with fewer modes. Card-to-Cloud describes machines without a modem; the card is still written in full. Apnealytics reads all of them. See the ResMed hub for the complete list.
